Terms of Service

1. The service

"Understand Everything" is an Android application that translates spoken conversations live between two languages and can transcribe and translate ambient speech ("listen mode"). Translations are produced by machine-learning models operated by Google on our behalf.

2. Machine translation — accuracy disclaimer

Machine translation is imperfect. Translations may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading, especially with names, numbers, dialects or noisy environments. Do not rely on the app for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or emergency communication. You are responsible for verifying anything that matters.

3. Translation time and purchases

New installs receive a one-time grant of free translation minutes. Additional translation time can be purchased as packs through Google Play. Translation time is consumed per second of active session. Packs are not refundable except as required by law or Google Play's refund policies, and have no cash value. We may adjust pack sizes and prices for future purchases.

4. Fair use

You must not use the app to violate others' privacy (e.g. covertly recording people where that is unlawful), to break any applicable law, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. Obtain consent from conversation partners where required — laws on recording and processing conversations differ by country.

5. Availability

The service depends on network connectivity and third-party AI services. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Unused translation time remains available after outages.

6. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeMozo LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service; our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with effect for the future; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
